A Northland business owner couple sought to build a forever dream home overlooking the water. Located in Leigh, a small coastal community near Matakana.
The couple wanted a formal three bedroom family home with large open plan living spaces, a formal living room, master bedroom upstairs, two guest bedrooms downstairs, a home office and a large pool incorporated into the design.
Having had Lee Johnstone design a previous home for them, in the Bay of Islands during the 1990’s. The Brown’s engaged him again to evolve the design from their original vision to their dream home V2.0.
Lee set about coming up with a hand-drawn conceptual design for the 500 sq metre, two storey home on an elevated section. Over several weeks of collaboration, the concept was refined to an exact plan and working drawings and CAD designs finalised.
Building consents for the 2009 build were organised and builders set in motion. The resulting home was a stunning two-storey family home overlooking the bay and featuring Coloursteel® roof and stone pillar verandah.
A forever home the clients were more than pleased to have achieved with the help of Lee’s design expertise.
